In 1999 I founded a Nonprofit Corporation called "The Kindness of Strangers". Originally designed to be an information and fundraising portal on celebrities and the charities they support, as a side business it offered 501(c)3 nonprofit corporations free and low cost website design and consultation services. I wrote and filed all state and federal requests for exemption, created the Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation.
Once nonprofit organizations learned of the web design services interest became so great that the organization focused entirely on that function. The goal was to educate nonprofits on the importance of professional website design by giving them a boost onto the Internet with a small website, and to assist them in making cost effective decisions in the event they hired professional designers. I offered both free and low cost services to those who requested, with several volunteers who assisted in the process.
From 1999 to 2003 I consulted with and/or developed websites for over 30 nonprofit corporations in the United States.

Currently, I am Vice President of the Fountain Park Cooperative, a 221 unit housing cooperative in Los Angeles, California. This involves understanding HUD rules and regulations, the Davis-Sterling Act, California corporate law in regards to housing cooperatives, budgets, property taxation and building and construction issues. I create the monthly shareholder newsletter and a website designed to educate prospective buyers, streamline forms and applications, with a goal to bring some of the management issues of this almost 40 year old property into the 21st century.
