Got Game?
Prior to UCLA Extension I was employed at Activision
Studios as the Quality Assurance Coordinator. I screened resumes,
conducted interviews, performed background checks, trained new employees
in company policy and procedure. Achieved departmental growth of thirty
to fifty employees in six months.
After that I became Quality Assurance Game Tester
and then Lead Tester.
As a tester I made a department record logging
over 1300 problems, almost 1/3 of the entire bug database for the game
"Zork: Nemesis". Other games I tested were the "Mechwarrior"
series including "Ghost Bear" and "Mercenaries",
"Shanghai Great Moments" and "NetMech".
Licensing and Merchandising
Prior to Activision Studios I worked for the licensing office for the
cartoon character "Cathy". At that time Guisewite Studio licensed
30 products for the character, and held the rights for "Roy Rogers".
As Office Manager I ordered supplies and equipment, created a workbook
of the Cathy art that sped up the approval process by 50% and created
a database of all licensed products which included the location of product
samples in storage. I answered fan mail and assisted in personal
requests for the creator of "Cathy".
Today, I still offer computer consultation services for Cathy's Macintosh-based
office.
