
Professional Experience - Film and Television
For nearly six years I have been employed at
UCLA Extension
in the Department of Entertainment Studies as a Program Representative
II. I coordinate Film, Television, Animation and Post-Production
courses. Specifically I
Manage the Apple Pro Training Series Program.
As an Apple Certified Training Center,
I oversee the courses in Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Shake, and Logic.
I proctor the Apple Certified Pro Exams and assist in hiring new
instructors and implementing new courses.
Manage a 20 seat PC Lab and a 14 seat Macintosh
Lab
UCLA Extension offers some of the most complex music and animation programs
available. Maya, 3ds max, Combustion, Entertainment Partners Budgeting,
as well as the Final Cut Pro, Cubase, Digital Performer and Pro Tools
LE. From hiring and training the lab staff, scheduling the courses
in the lab, insuring course materials are loaded and communicating configurations.
I have also problem solved configuration problems in the Macintosh
lab and created documentation on procedures, in addition to researching
and budgeting new courses, software and hardware purchases.
Planning and Coordinating Film and Television
Courses
Taught by professionals in the Industry, I implement the courses from
start to finish, including complex film shoots, coordinating 30 courses
per quarter, planning two quarters in advance. I counsel our diverse
student body and recommend future programs to the department management.
Forming Relationships with Industry Professionals
Kodak, Digital Film Tree, Mole-Richardson, The
Tokyo Foundation are some of the organizations I have worked in conjunction
with in the development of unique course offerings.
